About Ultimate Rivers

Ultimate Rivers is an Alaska-based enterprise, in business since 1983. We have always strived to provide the highest quality wilderness sports fishing adventures, here and abroad, at the most competitive prices. In addition to developing an outstanding Alaska program, we were among the first American tour operators to pioneer joint ventures in Russia during the late 1980s, concentrating our efforts in the Far East provinces most accessible by direct flights from Alaska.

Goo Vogt’s Siberian taimen program based out of Khabarovsk in the 1990s was very successful, garnering five IGFA World Records, including the largest fish ever taken on rod and reel. The Kamchatka program, begun in the early 1990s, featured float trips on the finest rivers in the southern and central province, along with volcano treks, visits to hot springs and trips to rural villages for cultural interaction. With our considerable involvement and passion, we have tirelessly promoted tourism and business and cultural exchanges between our two neighboring countries.
